| Nanuya Lailai
, is a beautiful small island with
lovely white sand beaches, hills and
mangroves. On the western side is the
gorgeous Blue Lagoon, named after the
famous movie with Brooke Shields,
where cruise boats anchor and
snorkelling is fantastic.
Here travellers can experience what others
pay dearly for - a beachfront bure with the
sound of the waves lapping at your door.
The small settlement of Enandala is at the base of
a hill on the island's beautiful eastern beach. About
seven families live here, all related and with family
connections to Naisisili village. Accommodation for the 5 properties
is rustic Fijian style with simple communal facilities.

Sunrise
Lagoon Resort is at the northern end of the gorgeous Enandala
beach, and is well set up for budget travellers with rustic
beachfront Fijian-style bures, a clean, comfortable dorm,
with communal toilet/shower block. Sunrise boasts a spacious
indoor dining/entertainment/bar area, as well as an outdoor
open sided summer bure on the edge of the beach. It is here
that visitors enjoy singing and playing guitar with the locals,
or simply reading a book from the communal library. The use
of traditional bure construction maintains local skills, uses
local natural renewable materials and fits in with the character
of the settlement. Bures are built close to the beach and
feature reed lining, woven palm lined ceilings, exposed timber
and mosquito nets.
