| Tavewa
is one of the
smaller islands of the Yasawa Group. The island is only 3 km long
and 1 km wide with a hilly interior. It has lovely sandy beaches
along its eastern side - great for sunbathing, swimming and snorkeling,
and a rocky coastline along the western side. Tavewa has a permanent
population of 50 people, and there are four budget properties to
be found here, providing an eclectic mix of Fijian experiences with
great personalities and a wonderful community spirit.

With
beautiful white sandy beaches and an abundant coral reef,
David's Place is an affordable paradise you won't want to
miss. Opened in 1985 and sited midway along the eastern side
of the island,
it fronts the longest stretch of beach on Tavewa. The large
garden is dotted with traditional Fijian bures, and a communal
bure ensures a wonderful party atmosphere.

Built
in 2000 on one of Fiji's most magnificent Camping, dorms,
double bures and 6 new beach bures are available, making
it the perfect destination for all travelers regardless
of age.
A
true Fijian experience - the setting is like a Fijian Village,
where you get a chance to stay in Fijian Bures with nicely
tiled concrete floors.
There is also a 20 bed dormitory with quality shared facilities
built on the first floor above the impressive dining and
bar area, framing a spectacular million dollar view of the
bluest Yasawas waters.

Taste
the local food and dance the night away with the local band
strumming Island music. The staff will demonstrate Fijian
Ceremonies.

How
do I get there?
You can get there by South Sea Island Cruise's Twin
Catamaran or by Sea Plane.
Who Do I see when I arrive at Nadi [Nadi] Airport?
Someone will meet you if you pre-book with us or,
you can ask around for the David's Travel Office
if you haven't. This is situated at the arrival
concourse, Floor 1. We're open 24 hrs a day, 7 days
a week.
At
the office, our Customer Service Reps, will brief
you on your confirmed bookings. You can pay up your
accommodation and travel bookings here. The CSR
can also pre-book your next intended destination
or get suggestions from them or help yourself to
our destination library. You can also use our Internet
workstation to e-mail your friends and families
that you're here!
